The paper rollers do turn when you makeshift wood en shaft. I don't know how it is supposed to work so untested. The other thing I notice is that one of tabs holds plastic cover on broken off. The knob that turns paper rollers has apparently been broken in past and was modified with a makeshift wood en shaft.

Turned it on and the screen lit up. That's the extent of my testing. Everything is seen in the pictures.

Typed some words and they appeared on the display.
