See this is a complete word processor system by Smith Corona.

It includes the original manual, filled out registration card from previous owner and three loose Will work on a PC with mad Hercules card.

If you just want to format and use the disks include, it will work fine.

We were able to read data from the disks, even ones included with software on them. There is some yellowing on the monitor, and back of printer.

The last three photos show screen of system with a test save, and print out it. The floppy drive worked for one session when we first purchased system.

Not sure how much work would be needed, but it does seem possible. I have made it print several times, and there seems to be a fair amount of ribbon remaining.

We read extensively on how to realign the floppy, but there is not much info internet about quick disk alignment. It also has a software package called Crinkle, and its disk. Another nerd note, the motherboard has a mc6845p chip driving monitor.

After a few power offs, this behavior stopped, but it could happen again so I wanted to mention. The printer acted up one time and kept running its test cycle endlessly.

However, the belt broke and we had to purchase another one please feel free ask any questions before purchase, will do our best answer. We were able to shut the system off, and restore document from disk. However, we formatted a disk with the unit, and after that, could save restore data to from. Note to nerds like me, its a z80 based system, so likely it could be modified run CAP m.

The main CPU with built-in software, external keyboard and its original brick power supply. The monitor is a Tl based amber monochrome.

There are also some marks on the top of CPU from monitor.
